  TSPC will meet October 9-10, 2003
  Released: Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at 5:00 PM
The TSPC will meet October 9-10 at the Oregon Education Association, 6900 SW Atlanta Street, Portland OR 97223 in the Board Room. The Executive Committee will meet at 7:00 a.m. The full Commission will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, and 8:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10th. Superintendent Susan Castillo will address the Commission when it convenes on Thursday morning.

Business will include: a review of Initial and Continuing Teaching License issues; test cut scores for Praxis Physical Education Content Test; Immersion Teachers who hold a Limited Teaching License; Child Development Specialist licensure; election of officers for 2004; and meeting calendar for 2004-2005.

A public hearing is scheduled for October 9th at 3:00 p.m. to receive oral and written testimony on establishing requirements and procedures under the federal No Child Left Behind Act; allowing more flexibility to schools in supervising distance courses and placing restrictions on the Substitute Teaching License.
