  Institution Fingerprint Notification Process/C2 Information
Released: Friday, February 6, 2004 at 5:00 PM

Fingerprint Notification Process
In late January, TSPC began sending and email to Deans/Directors when fingerprints for a student teacher, from their institution, had been submitted to Oregon State Police (OSP) for processing. (It normally takes OSP 2-4 weeks to process fingerprints.). We also send a notice to the Deans/Directors after a student teacher has cleared both the OSP and FBI background check.
From this point forward, if you do not receive an email confirming that an individual has passed the fingerprint requirements, you should assume they are still in the processing stage. These emails are being sent out on a nightly basis.
You can also check fingerprint information by using the TSPC website, www.tspc.state.or.us, under the "Teacher License Inquiry" section.

C-2 Electronic Form
We implemented the submission of C-2 forms electronically in May of 2002, and now looking at ways to improve the process. We would like to get your feedback on how the process has worked for you and staff who submit the form. Please submit issues, comments, questions, f you have any issues or concerns regarding the process, please send them to me no later than Monday, February 16.
