  Public Hearing on Amendment and Adoption of Rules
  Released: Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at 5:00 PM
The Teacher Standards and Practices Commission will hold a hearing on May 6, 2004, at 3:00 p.m. at George Fox University, 12753 SW 68th Avenue, Portland OR 97223 in Rooms 155 A & B on the following administrative rules:

584-010-0020- On-Site Review of Licensure Programs
584-017-0185- Evidence of Effectiveness
584-036-0062- Criminal Records Check Requirement
584-060-0171- Limited Teaching License
584-065-0060- Mathematics (Middle Level and High School Level)
584-070-0011- Initial School Counselor License

An additional hearing will be held on OAR 584-010-0020 and 584-065-0060 on July 28, 2004, at 9:00 a.m. at Southern Oregon University, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd, Ashland OR 97520.

This is the second hearing for OAR 584-036-0062, 584-060-0171 and 584-070-0011. Currently only one hearing is scheduled for OAR 584-017-0185. Testimony received on these rules will be compiled and considered for adoption by the Commission at the July Commission meeting.

The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Hearing and Statement of Need and Fiscal Impact for OAR 584-065-0060 and 584-010-0020 and the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Hearing and Statement of Need and Fiscal Impact for OAR 584-017-0185, 584-036-0062, 584-060-0171 and 584-070-0011 were filed with the Secretary of State on March 15, 2004.
