  News Release

The following is a news release from the Oregon Teacher Standards and Commission. If there are more details that we can provide for you, please feel free to contact us (see Contact Us).

  Fingerprint Card Requirement
Released: Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 5:00 PM

The Oregon State Police (OSP) has decreased the number of fingerprint cards the agency must submit in order to run an FBI and OSP background check. As a result we now require applicants to submit ONE fingerprint card.

We have updated our forms on the web but there are many forms still in circulation that will indicate an applicant needs to submit two fingerprint cards. Regardless of those forms, we only need one fingerprint card.

If an individual submits two fingerprint cards we will destroy one of the cards and forward the other to OSP for processing.

The processing fee will remain $42 because the fees that OSP charges us to process the background checks have remained the same.
