  TSPC will meet March 10-11, 2005
  Released: Sunday, February 27, 2005 at 5:00 PM
The Teacher Standards and Practices Commission will meet March 10-11, 2005, at Comfort Suites at Salem, Oregon / Pacific Rooms, 630 Hawthorne Avenue SE, Salem OR 97301. The Executive Committee will meet at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday the 10th and again on Friday the 11th. The Full Commission will meet in Executive Session on March 10th from 8:00 to approximately 10:00 a.m. Immediately following, the full Commission will convene in Public Session to consider agenda items. Beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10th, a public hearing will be held to receive oral and written testimony on the administrative rules listed at 6.0 on the agenda. On Friday, March 11th, the Commission will reconvene at 8:00 a.m. until the conclusion of business.

Business will include:
Cultural competency action plan and next steps adopting standards
Score setting for Multiple Subjects Exam
Status of legislative bills and TSPC budget
Consideration of development of new Administrator ESOL Tests
Consideration of issues related to implementation of the Initial Teaching License newly proposed amendments
Consideration of administrative rule amendments clarifying the addition of endorsements and authorization levels to existing licenses
Consideration of approval of a new MAT program with the University of Phoenix

From Interstate 5 take Exit 253 (Santiam/Detroit) and turn west on Mission Hwy, SR22. Travel 1/4 mile to Hawthorne, and then turn right by Costco. Go approximately 1/4 mile. The Salem Comfort Suites is located on the right side near the freeway.
