  Administrator Licensure Summit
Released: Monday, March 7, 2005 at 5:00 PM
TSPC, the State Action for Educational Leadership Program (SAELP) and the Confederation of Oregon School Administrators (COSA) Licensure Committee will be hosting a Summit on April 8th at the Wilsonville Holiday Inn from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The summit will be to discuss current administrator licensure and future licensure alignment with new administrator preparation standards adopted by the Commission in January 2005 which become effective in January 2007.

The day will be spent exploring what is working and what is not working with current administrator licensure and what changes would be necessary. Specifically, we will discuss administrator preparation, whether current preparation is adequate, etc.; what administrators may need the first five years and what administrators need in later years as an administrator.

We will be working to restructure licensure for the benefit of the practitioners and the school system.

Since the summit is only for one day, those needing lodging, please make your own arrangements.

Please RSVP attendance to: melody.hanson@state.or.us; or (503) 373-1260. We would like to keep the number of participants under 80, so we will register folks on a first come, first serve basis.
