  PREVIEW OF AUGUST 2005 COMMISSION MEETING

The next meeting of the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission will be held at Oregon State University-Cascades Campus in their Cascades Hall Rooms 117/118 on August 3-5, 2005. OSU-Cascades is located on the Central Oregon Community College Campus in Bend, Oregon. A very DRAFT agenda is attached to assist you in determining your travel and lodging needs if you plan on attending any or all of this meeting. Wednesday, August 3rd, is reserved as a training day on cultural competency for the Commissioners and also an executive session to consider disciplinary cases. The TSPC Executive Committee will also meet on Wednesday morning from 7:00-9:00 a.m. The usual Commission agenda items will occur on Thursday, August 4th. On Friday, August 5th, Commissioners and interested parties will participate in miscellaneous "cafeteria topics". The final agenda, listing all agenda items and attachments, will be available on our Web site approximately 10 days prior to the meeting.

There are numerous lodging facilities in Bend. Please visit the Bend Area Visitor & Convention Bureau Web site at http://www.visitbend.com/ for various lodging choices; most within a few miles of the campus. Arrangements have been made for Commissioners to stay at the Hampton Inn-Bend on NE Butler Market Road.
