The following is a news release from the Oregon Teacher Standards and Commission. If there are more details that we can provide for you, please feel free to contact us (see Contact Us).
New Process to EXPEDITE 'Expedited Service'
Released: Friday, July 15, 2005 at 5:00 PM
Effective immediately, when districts and educators jointly request expedited service processing for licensure under the following rule:

OAR 584-0036-0055 (13) An employer and an applicant may jointly submit any license application, which must include the C-1, C-3, with a request for expedited service accompanied by an additional service fee of $100. Qualified applicants will be authorized to perform all duties of the position requested within two working days of such application. This authorization is conditional upon determination that all requirements for the license have been met. The Commission may limit the number of applications from an employing district to a maximum of 100 in any two-day period.

Please take the following steps:

1. All materials mailed or delivered to TSPC for processing under expedited service should indicate EXPEDITED SERVICE on the front of the mailing or delivery envelope.

2.Materials submitted in person or faxed to our office (with TSPC approval) should have EXPEDITED SERVICE written on the face of all documents.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter which will allow us to better serve you. Without these added steps it may take several extra days to process your requests.

Thank you in advance for taking these steps to assist us in helping you.

Pam LaFreniere
Coordinator of Teacher Licensure
