  TSPC will meet March 9. 2006, via teleconference call
  Released: Monday, March 6, 2006 at 5:00 PM
 
 
 
The Teacher Standards and Practices Commission meeting scheduled for March 9-10, 2006, at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Wilsonville has been cancelled. Instead, the Commission will meet via conference call on Thursday, March 9th, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in public session to:

reconsider an administrative rule change for Child Development Specialists
conduct training for Commissioners on hearings pursuant to ORS 342.553
hold a hearing pursuant to ORS 342.553

An AT&T teleconference call has been established for the above public portion of the meeting from 3:30-4:30 p.m.. The toll free dial in number is 1-888-285-4585 and the participant code is 391284.

The Commission will then meet in executive session (non-public) from 4:30-6:00 p.m. to consider pending disciplinary actions. For this session, a separate teleconference call has been established for the Commission to consider disciplinary cases, pursuant to the provisions of ORS 342.176. At the end of this executive session, the Commission will consider the adoption of discipline orders in public session. If anyone wishes to join the second teleconference call at that time, please inform Melody Hanson at 503-373-1260 or melody.hanson@state.or.us. She will then call interested parties upon the conclusion of the executive session and provide them with the second teleconference number and participant code.
TSPC apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. The Commission will conduct normal business during the next meeting scheduled for May 11-12, 2006, at Portland State University.
