Re: Highly Qualified Staff Collection

SUMMARY: In response to requests from the field, ODE and TSPC are revising the Highly Qualified Staff (HQS) collection timeline.

The deadline has been extended to July 26, 2006.

Due to the districts having difficulty getting all of their HOUSSE evaluations done by July 9, 2006, the closing date of the Highly Qualified Staff collection, has been extended from July 9, 2006 to July 26, 2006. You will need to go to the Report Card validation site to verify submitted data. Remember that it takes until the next working day for collection data to be accurately reflected on the Report Card Validation site. We will reopen the collection for corrections on August 14, 2006 and close on August 18, 2006. This will give districts more time to accurately complete the collection and still allow ODE enough time to get the data ready for public release in October.

If you have any questions please contact Bev Pratt by email at bev.pratt@ode.state.or.us or by phone at 505-947-5806.
