  News Release
The following is a news release from the Oregon Teacher Standards and Commission. If there are more details that we can provide for you, please feel free to contact us (see Contact Us).
  November Office Closures
Released: Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 5:00 PM
Legal compensable holidays in November 2007 are Veteran's Day on Monday, the 12th, and Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, the 22nd. Most state government offices will be closed in observance of these holidays.

Department of Administrative Services policy states an agency head may designate an alternate day of observance for any legal compensable holiday. The Executive Director and employees agreed to remain open for business on Veteran's Day, November 12th, and instead observe an alternate holiday and close the office on Friday, November 23rd. This will give employees a four-day weekend for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We sincerely hope observance of an alternate holiday does not inconvenience our clientele in any way. Our voice mail messages and electronic mail responses will be changed to reflect the office closure on Friday, November 23rd. Notice will also be posted on our front door.
