  Hearing Pursuant To ORS 342.553
Released: Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 5:00 PM
On Monday, February 25, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. the Teacher Standard and Practices Commission will meet in executive session (non-public) to hold a hearing regarding whether an educator violated ORS 342.553, the statute that requires educators to give districts 60 days notice prior to resigning. An AT & T teleconference call has been established for this purpose. Commissioners who reside near the TSPC office have been asked to appear in person for this hearing as well as the educator and his/her attorney and school district representatives.

Immediately following the hearing, the Commission will meet in public session to adopt the Commission's findings with regard to whether the educator violated ORS 342.553. If anyone wishes to join this teleconference call immediately after the executive session is finished, please inform Melody Hanson at 503-373-1260 or melody.hanson@state.or.us

The next regularly scheduled Commission meeting is scheduled for May 15-16, 2008, at the Village Green Resort in Cottage Grove.
