Amend Permanent Administrative Rules from August 2010 Commission Meeting
Released: Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 8:45 AM

At the August 2010 commission meeting, the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission took action to permanently adopt the following administrative rules in Chapter 584, Division 70:

Adopted effective Jan 1, 2011:
584-070-0411: Initial School Social Worker License
584-070-0421: Continuing School Social Worker License
584-070-0431: Transitional School Social Worker License for First Time Out-of-State Applicants

Typographical errors were discovered after the rules were filed. Additionally, commission corrections relating to "no substitute teaching" had not been incorporated into the rules.

On April 14, 2011, these rules were amended and filed permanent based on the August 2010 commission meeting testimony.

AMEND:
584-070-0411: Initial School Social Worker License - Amends the license holder's capability to substitute at any level in any specialty. Wrong version of the rule was inadvertently filed. Correction implements language documented in the August 2010 commission meeting and will delete substitute teaching ability.

584-070-0421: Continuing School Social Worker License - Amends the license holder's capability to substitute at any level in any specialty. Wrong version of the rule was inadvertently filed. Corrections implement language documented in the August 2010 commission meeting. This action will delete substitute teaching ability and delete reference to school psychologist licenses.

584-070-0431: Transitional School Social Worker License for First Time Out-of-State Applicants - Amends the license holder's capability to substitute at any level in any specialty. Wrong version of the rule was inadvertently filed. Correction implements language documented in the August 2010 commission meeting and will delete substitute teaching ability.

These administrative rules were filed and certified effective with the Secretary of State on April 14, 2011, and will be incorporated into the compilation of OARs on May 1, 2011. In the meantime, the administrative rules may be viewed by clicking on the rule number above.
