| NOTICE OF PROPOSED HEARING ON ADOPTION, AMENDMENT AND REPEAL OF ADMINISTRATIVE RULES

Teacher Standards and Practices Commission, Chapter 584
The rules listed below have not yet been adopted by the commission. These are proposed rule actions that will be considered for adoption at the next commission meeting on November 1, 2012 or a later commission meeting.
The purpose of this notice is to inform all interested parties that:
* An Administrative Rulemaking Hearing will be held September 25, 2012. The last opportunity for public comment will be November 1, 2012 before 2:00 p.m.
* This hearing will be held from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the TSPC office at 250 Division Street, Salem, OR, in the main conference room.
* The purpose of this hearing is to allow all interested parties an opportunity to provide comment either in person at the hearing itself or in writing by 2:00 p.m. on November 1, 2012.
(The rule hearing notice was filed with the Secretary of State on August 15, 2012.)

584-080-0031 - "Distinguished Administrator License" Increases experience required for Distinguished Administrator License.
584-090-0115 - "Professional Development Requirements" Allows some excess professional development units to be carried forward to next reporting period.
584-100-0038 - "HOUSSE for [Middle-Level and High School] Secondary Teachers Not New to the Profession" Aligns language with federal No Child Left Behind Act.
584-100-0091 - "Licensed and Registered Elementary Charter School Teacher" Clarifies that charter school teachers must also be highly qualified to teach core academic subjects.
584-100-0096 - "Licensed and Registered [Middle-Level or] Secondary Charter School Teacher" Aligns language with federal No Child Left Behind Act.
584-052-0030 - "Eligibility for Alternative Assessment" Eliminates alternative assessment for test waiver - Repeal.
