  Distinguished Teacher Leader Subcommittee to meet 10/9/2015

The TSPC Distinguished Teacher Leader Subcommittee will meet on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to discuss development of the Distinguished Teacher Leader licensure evaluation rubric. The meeting will be held at Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) 250 Division St NE, Salem, 97301.

The subcommittee is advisory to the Commission. The Commission has named the following stakeholders as members to the subcommittee:

*Dawn Strong, past Commissioner and past Chair of Licensure Committee
*Teresa Ferrer, Oregon Education Association
*Holly Lekas, Confederation of Oregon School Administrators (Beaverton)
*Lea Bates, Commissioner, Member at Large
*Kathleen Sundell, Commissioner
*Shirley Blanchard, Commissioner
*Mary McGinnis, teacher, Tillamook and Chalkboard Project
*Victoria Chamberlain, TSPC Executive Director
*Rob Larson, Director of Strategic Relations, Education Northwest
*at Burk, Associate Professor, Portland State University
*Tamara Dykeman TSPC Staff

The Distinguished Teacher Leader Subcommittee was appointed by the Commission to review implementation of the new Distinguished Teacher Leader License based on statutory requirements in ORS 342.137. Proposals will be submitted to the Commission for review and possible adoption as they are developed.
