Released: Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at 5:00 PM
The announcement for the Deputy Director/Coordinator of Teacher Education position within TSPC was advertised mid-July through the end of September. Applications received were pre-screened and the best-qualified applicants were interviewed on October 14th. The initial interview panel consisted of Carol Mack, Rich Steiner, Nancy Watt, Linda Samek, Vickie Chamberlain, Jan Madland, Larry Warren and Melody Hanson.

The final candidates will be scheduled for an interview on Tuesday, October 22, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Public Service Building, Basement Conference Room C, 255 Capitol Street NE, Salem OR. The final interview panel will consist of Carol Mack, Rich Biffle, Rich Steiner, Nancy Watt, Jan Madland, Larry Warren, Vickie Chamberlain, Carolyn Ortman and Cathy Gwinn.

Finding a suitable replacement for the former incumbent, Linda Samek, certainly won't be easy; therefore, we are requesting your participation in the interview process. Final candidates will also participate in a Forum with constituents and TSPC staff that same morning, October 22nd. The Forum will be held in Conference Room "A" of the Public Service Building. This is an opportunity for interested parties to meet the final candidates and provide input.

The selection of a new Deputy Director/Coordinator of Teacher Education is a very important decision. Your participation in this process is greatly appreciated.

Metered parking is available on the streets surrounding the Public Service Building and in the Capitol Mall parking structure. If you have any questions, please contact Melody Hanson at melody.hanson@state.or.us or at 503-373-1260.
