  TSPC is again Recruiting for our Coordinator of Teacher Licensing

The Teacher Standards and Practices Commission is a small state agency located in Salem, Oregon that under the direction of a 17-member Commission, issues educator licenses, maintains professional standards of competency and ethical performance and adopts standards for approval of college and university teacher education programs.

This position coordinates the licensing department by providing support and training to the licensure staff, representing the agency at a variety of public venues and providing consistent interpretation of licensing rules. The Coordinator makes policy and procedure recommendations for licensure.

A Bachelor's Degree is required with demonstrated experience and expertise in decision making, public contact, communication, and/or rule interpretation. Knowledge of K-12 education through either School District or School of Education experience or an advanced degree is desirable but not required.

The salary range is: $3720 - $5486 per month but current State regulations limit our ability to start someone higher than $3903. This is a state executive appointment serving at the discretion of the Executive Director. Benefits include public employee retirement (PERS), vacation and sick leave, medical and dental benefits and the opportunity to purchase long and short-term disability, life insurance and participate in the Oregon Savings Growth Plan.
